Homemade Face Mask for Acne
Cucumber Face Mask
“Prepare a mixture by blending a small size cucumber and 1 cup of oatmeal”. Now, add 1 teaspoon of this paste with 1 teaspoon of yogurt and gently apply it on your face. Leave it for 30 minutes on your face, and then wash your face. This cooling mask will help you to smooth your skin, which can become rough from acne.
Simple Honey Mask
Before using this face mask, wash your face with lukewarm water to open up pores. Then gently apply honey and leave it on your face for 30 minutes. Wash the honey off with lukewarm water; then wash your face again with cold water to close the pores.
Lemon-Egg Face Mask
This is an amazing home remedy that can enhance any type of skin. “Squeeze a lemon and mix the juice with one beaten egg white”. Now, apply the mask on the face, and leave it overnight while you sleep. After waking up rinse your face with warm water. Prevention: Keep the raw-egg mixture out of your mouth and eyes.
Turmeric Facial Mask
In India, turmeric is used as a mask in the wedding. Turmeric mask is applied to the bride for glowing and beautiful skin. Ingredients required for this remedy are 1/2 cup of chickpea flour and 2 teaspoons turmeric powder, sandalwood powder, and ghee (clarified butter) or almond oil. Combine these ingredients with enough water to make a paste. Now apply it on your face and leave it for 5 to 10 minutes. “Gently rub with both palms and fingers to remove the paste.” Wash with water.
Besan and Curd
Take 2 teaspoons of Besan (Gram flour) and add fresh yogurt in it, now mix it well. Apply the mask on your face and leave it for approx 10 minutes. Wash your face with cold water. The zinc is present in gram flour that can fight infections which cause acne. And the fiber stabilizes blood sugar levels. Imbalanced blood sugar levels can stress your hormones, which can cause breakouts or pimples. Gram flour can prevent that.
Activated Charcoal Face Mask for Acne
Take 1 teaspoon of charcoal powder; add 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera gel and 3 drops tea tree essential oil. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and gently apply it to your face. Keep it for 20-30 minutes and rub it off with a clean cloth. Apply moisturizer. You can repeat it 2-3 times in a week. Before removing the homemade acne face mask, massage the face for 2-3 minutes. Activated Charcoal has the power to attract dirt of our pores on the skin’s surface by properly cleansing it. This activated charcoal removes all the toxins from the skin and gives a healthy and beautiful skin.
Aloe Vera Gel
You can directly apply Aloe Vera gel on your skin to avoid pimples. It has antibacterial and antifungal features. It is very effective in curing acne. And, also decreases the redness caused by pimple. It prevents bacteria from infecting acne wounds. Also, speed up the process of healing. The astringent property of aloe removes excess oil and dirt from the skin to stop acne breakout. It decreases the size of inflamed nodules and cysts to get rid of pain caused by the swelling.
Oatmeal masks help to clear acne. For preparing the oatmeal mask, take 2 teaspoons of oatmeal, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and an adequate amount of water. Apply the paste all over your face. Gently rub it. Afterward, Wash thoroughly.
Mint Face Mask for Acne
Make 1 tablespoon mint paste, and add 1 tablespoon yogurt in it, now add 1/2 teaspoon fuller’s earth clay (Multani Mitti). Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Apply it on your face. Keep it for 20-30 minutes. Rub it off with a clean cloth. Apply moisturizer. You can repeat it 2-3 times a week for better result. Mint is known for its anti-inflammatory features. It also assists to soften and calm dry skin.
Egg White Face Mask for Acne
Take 1/2 tablespoon egg whites, and add 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice and 3 drops tea tree essential oil in it. Take all these ingredients in a bowl. Apply it to your face. Leave it for 20-30 minutes. Rub it off with a clean cloth. Apply moisturizer. Repeat it 3-4 times a week. Egg white soaks up the excess oil to stop acne. And, also help to get rid of scars. It is a rich source of Vitamin-B which has powerful antioxidants to guard the skin cells against damage. It also nourishes the skin and enhances cell repair. Egg whites clean the skin and prevent bacteria growth.
